Tony Lucca has me hooked on #Twitter
#VoteforTonyLucca is only one of the many battle cries on Twitter for singer Tony Lucca on NBC’s “The Voice” and they keep on coming.
I have been on Twitter for a while, but not so much as I have the past few weeks. And that is because one of my teen crushes is rocking the reality TV show. I’ve been a Lucca fan since “The Mickey Mouse Club” (MMC) days in the early 1990s and have been following his career online. Now he is on national TV every week and I get so excited I have to share it with others. Thus, the Twittering begins.
There are so many other fans out there cheering on Tony Lucca, and we all seem to join in as a team to support and cheer him on. We re-tweet (RT) each other and create “Lucca-isms” (as some say) such as #HowyouLuccamenow? (reference to his song last week, more on that here). The #hashtag is meant to get a topic trending, but it is that and so much more. It has brought together Tony Lucca fans who have found a fun and creative way to root for the rocker. Also, it gives us a chance to bash coach Christina Aguilera (another former MMC-er) who has seemed to have a vendetta against Tony from the beginning. I think she is just jealous that Tony chose to be on Team Adam Levine and not Team Christina Aguilera, and has to get a little negativity in every time she critiques him.
So, I have to get back to Tweeting on my phone now (laptop and phone both side-by-side, gotta love technology) now as the show is not over yet. But Tony and Adam Levine just did an awesome duet of “Yesterday” that should make Paul McCartney proud. #HowyouLuccamenow? lol
UPDATE: Tony just made it “Harder to Breathe” with his Maroon 5 cover. Coach Adam Levine should be beaming! And congratulations to Tony for being a class act and ignoring Christina’s petty comments.

Good luck, Tony! Vote for him here tonight: http://www.nbc.com/the-voice/vote/ And watch Tuesday night for the live finale.
Check out my thoughts on Tony from last week’s show: How do you like him now? Tony Lucca rocks ‘The Voice’
How do you like him now? Tony Lucca rocks ‘The Voice’
“How do you like me now?” sang Tony Lucca on “The Voice” Monday night.
Lucca fans are loyal and we’ve been cheering him on throughout his run on the reality show, via Twitter, Facebook, etc. And after Monday’s rockin’ performance, the Lucca bandwagon is rolling along with a much bigger crew.
Any non-believers (if they existed) should have been won over by his performance for sure. Make room on your Twitter page @Luccadoes (Tony’s Twitter), because I have a feeling you’ll need it for all those new fans.
Proud to be a Tony Lucca fan for the past 20 some years! He will always “rock the house”(had to throw in an MMC reference, and BTW I loved his shoutout to Dale Godboldo) and deserves to win “The Voice.” And even if he doesn’t (whatever), he has won over tons of new fans so he’ll come out on top no matter what.

‘The Voice’ vs. ‘Dancing with the Stars’ … only one has Tony Lucca
Once again, I have the TV dilemma of which show to watch live, and which to attempt to watch on Tivo. I know there are bigger problems in this world, but in my world this is a big deal.
I have “Dancing with the Stars” set to record on season pass because that is one of my favorite shows. However, “The Voice” has Tony Lucca this season and now I have to watch that, too!
Tony Lucca was on the “Mickey Mouse Club” (MMC) when I was a teen and I had a major crush on him. I met him when some of the MMC crew toured. And I’ve followed his music career online the past few years, hoping he’d get the recognition he deserves. Once I found out he was going to be on “The Voice,” there was no question that I’d have to watch.
In the early 1990s, Tony starred alongside Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Britney Spears, Ryan Gosling, former girlfriend Keri Russell, and of course, “The Voice’s” Christina Aguilera. The talent on MMC was amazing and I’ve been following the careers of the alumni ever since. Some have made it big (some I just mentioned), but others are still struggling to get that big break. Tony finally has his chance, so I’m behind him all the way.
So my to-do list for this evening:
- Watch Tony Lucca on “The Voice”
- Vote for Tony Lucca on “The Voice”
- Catch up (fast forward through) with “Dancing with the Stars” (Jack Wagner is off, so only a few left I really care about)
- Sleep
- Oh, get my son to sleep. He’s still up. OK, get kid to sleep, then go back to step 1.
Don’t forget to vote for Tony! http://www.nbc.com/the-voice/vote/
Update: Just realized “How I Met Your Mother” (“HIMYM”) was a new episode tonight!
6. Stop blogging.
7. Watch “HIMYM”
8. Write more tomorrow about how snotty Christina Aguilera was to Tony Lucca on “The Voice.”
