Once again, the New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) are planning a fan cruise in May (and once again, I won’t be on board.)

The latest NKOTB Cruise is scheduled for May 18-22, 2013 to Half Moon Cay and Nassau, leaving from the port of Miami. Pre-sale tickets went on sale today, and Twitter was flying with Tweets from fans ready to go!  (For more details on the cruise, visit nkotb.com or click here.)

My first encounter with a New Kid! I met Joey McIntyre after a performance of the “Dancing With The Stars” tour. He was signing his CDs. My sister and I freaked out : )

The previous cruises in 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 were also set in May, and for myself and my family, it is a bad time of year. My son was born in May 2008, so he has been a baby since NKOTB reunited, we have had May birthday celebrations for him, and now he is in pre-school and the cruise will be the end of his school year.  Lastly I am a stay-at-home mom and just can’t justify spending the time and money right now. As much as I love NKOTB, I love every moment of going to water parks, theme parks, road trips, the zoo, and even just staying home with my son and husband.  This family time right now is priceless.

Now, if I was single and had no responsibilities, I would be on that boat with my sister ready to “Hang Tough” with the other fans!  She hasn’t met them yet, so we still have a dream of meeting all five guys together and having a nice pic : )

Seriously, though, don’t feel too sorry for me. I am very fortunate to have met NKOTB (minus Donnie Wahlberg errrr, still bummed) at a meet and greet before a concert (I won a contest!), and I have met Joey McIntyre a few times after his solo shows and “Dancing With The Stars” tour.  I have also seen Joey and Jordan Knight on their solo tours several times each, and of course, I have seen all “Five Bad Brothers from the Beantown Land” in concert on several occasions over the years (ranging from July 21, 1989, to last year with the NKOTBSB tour).

The cruise, though, sounds like lots of fun and I’ve seen some great pics online. But there is always (hopefully) next year!
