Old Navy is at it again: ’90210′ reunion in latest ad

OK, Old Navy, I get the hint. You want me to come into your store.

The commercials this summer for Old Navy may show clothing for all ages, but they are definitely marketing to the women of my generation (I’m 37, so give or take a few years in either direction.)  Advertisements have included a “Blossom” reunion with Mayim Bialik and Joey Lawrence (Whoa!), and a musical number with New Kids on the Block’s very own Jordan Knight (sigh!)  So, Old Navy has been focusing on the teenagers of the late 1980s/early 1990s who now have children and/or do the shopping in their household.

The latest commercial includes a “Beverly Hills, 90210″ reunion! If you know me at all, or followed me as the 90210 Examiner, you know that this is something I live for!  There are kids going back to school, new clothes, etc., but two teachers (I assume) standing in the hallway are none other than Jason Priestley and Gabrielle Carteris from the original “90210!”

(Watch video posted below!)

Yes, Brandon Walsh and Andrea Zuckerman are together again! Neither one of the actors/characters have appeared on the CW’s new version of “90210,” as some of their former castmates did (mainly Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, and Shannen Doherty aka Kelly Taylor, Donna Martin, and Brenda Walsh respectively.) Although, they did have what was supposedly Andrea’s daughter, Hannah, give the morning announcement to the new generation of West Beverly Hills High School in the premiere episode of “90210,” which, if you blinked (or covered your ears), you missed it.

So to see these two ”90210″ alumni together again on television is very exciting, to say the least.  And it may have taken about 20 years, but “Andrea” (assuming Gabrielle Carteris is in character) finally professes her love out loud to “Brandon” (again, assuming Jason Priestley is in character).  But much like the show, Brandon/Jason didn’t quite notice that his BFF of “The Blaze” (school paper they both ran) Andrea/Gabrielle said, “I love you.”  Asking her to repeat what she said, she simply answers, “Nothing.”

Ah, some things never change. Sorry Andrea/Gabrielle, but you will forever be in the “friend zone” with Brandon/Jason!

In case you missed them:
