Mommy brain or Fibro fog leads to messy moment

So yesterday morning I had a total foggy moment when I went to get my son his morning vitamin.

I reached in the cabinet to grab his Flintstone vitamins, but ended up dumping Dimetapp all over my hand! I grabbed the wrong one in a foggy (not sure if it was just “mommy brain” or “Fibro fog”) and shaky-hand (muscle spasm) moment, and realized it as I started to pour. It was too late, though, as the Dimetapp already started flowing out of the bottle. Good thing I like the smell of grape Dimetapp. But what a messy moment!

And for the record, I would NOT have given him the wrong stuff. I always double-check everything I hand him (we always point out which character is on the vitamin). But just had a messy moment in MY hand.

I guess I have to laugh it off, just like other spills I have every day : )  Let’s see what I spill today!

To my fellow Fibromyalgia sufferers: What sort of stuff have you spilled accidentally with shaky muscle spasms or done something crazy in a Fibro-fog moment? My usual spill is pretty much any type of beverage : ) Share your comments below!

  1. It’s easy to do most anything in a Fibro fog…unfortunately! Your story speaks to me. Sharing it at http://facebook.com/getwellhealth. Would love for you to drop by and leave a comment. This page shares info on all types of chronic health problems on Facebook. Sending you my best & have a good day, Cinda Crawford

  2. Checking out your FB page! And thank you for sharing my story. Love chatting with others about ways to make things better and more positive!

  3. Spilling, not so much, but picking things up and then dropping them: ALL the time. Especially heavy things that land on my feet. It’s like I’m hardwired to shake when I’m holding something that can cause the most damage. Hahaha… can only laugh (or else I’d probably cry). I have been super foggy lately, especially when it comes to my morning tea. I make it, and then completely forget about it until I see the full mug later in the day. Sighhhhh…

    • OMG I totally start getting shaky when holding stuff! Maybe our muscles feel overloaded :-) And that is very funny about the tea. I feel ya on that, too! Yep can’t do much about it so laugh it off!

  4. Today I grabbed an ice tray from the freezer instead of getting my coffee grounds, and almost put the ice in the coffee maker lol!
