First boat ride of the year

We took our boat out for our first ride this summer. Nico loved it, choppy waves and all! I was holding on to Nico tightly, and we did hit quite a few bumps in the road lol. So my hubby and I figured my muscles would be super sore today. Happy to report that I mostly just have my every day pain
Not too much worse than usual! Let’s see how the next ride goes!

Our ‘Live with Kelly’ beach ball prize spinner

Surf’s up in our house! My son, Nico, 4, wanted a giant beach ball to spin and win a trip like on “Live with Kelly.” So we made our own, cheaper version. Although trips to tropical locations would be nice, we came up with options that are more feasible. Park, zoo, Grandma’s house, backyard … Here we come!
Thank Heaven for 7-Eleven … and free Slurpee Day!
On a hot day, my family and I occasionally indulge in a nice, cold Slurpee from 7-Eleven.
So when my son and I ran errands today, I promised him a Slurpee (no caffeine). Only problem was, though, I only had about $2 and some change. So I figured we’d just split one. I really hate to use my debit/credit card when spending only a few bucks.
Well, when we walked in, we saw the signs saying “Happy 7-Eleven Day!” I totally forgot that today was 7-11 on the calendar. So they were giving away free Slurpees! They were small, but perfect for us. Just like the old ad campaign, thank Heaven for 7-Eleven, or 7-11 : )
Now for that $2 I still have. Hmmm, may have to hit up the dollar store for a spending spree!
