Hey, look! Jordan Knight is in an Old Navy commercial

It is a welcome treat to see Jordan Knight’s face unexpectedly on my TV screen. It is an even bigger treat to have my husband wake me up to point it out!

Jordan Knight, Old Navy

Jordan Knight sings for Old Navy

Last night I was falling asleep while watching the “Miss USA Pageant;” no offense to Miss USA, I was just tired and already took my muscle relaxer (my Fibro friends can relate).  I was suddenly woken up by my husband, who usually falls asleep before me (must have been the pageant), teasingly pointing out on TV, “Hey, who was that?”

My eyes opened immediately to see Jordan Knight of New Kids on the Block (NKOTB), my major teenage (OK, still as an adult) crush, in an Old Navy commercial.  He was doing what Jordan does best … playing the piano, singing, and looking good.

The commercial was not only cute, but hilarious. Jordan was riding on a bicycle equipped with a piano and singing a song about “What’s Your Sign?” … a nice homeage to a song from the boy band’s first album, “I Wanna be Loved By You,” in which the guys sang about their astrological signs.

Check out Jordan’s Twitter page, which is decorated in photos from the commercial.

I am very lucky to have such an understanding husband, who puts up with (willingly or not!) my love of pop culture and nostalgia. NKOTB and Jordan Knight helped me get through my teenage years, as they did with most other girls my age (37).

Old Navy is totally marketing to my age group, as they also recently had a commercial featuring Mayim Bialik and Joey Lawrence in their “Blossom” roles (Be sure to check that out here! Whoa!)

I may have to stop by Old Navy today.
